Description of The Interpreters

The Interpreters are a greatly intelligent department within The System, they work deep within the bowels of the headquarters, tirelessly interpreting the data received by The Gatherers; deciding which human souls should be lightened and which should be darkened. They refer to the rules of 'The Big Book' when making decisions, a rule book which has changed as more is understood about mankind, but cannot be altered unless approved by The Committee.

Well versed in human psychology, biology, language, culture and politics, they have become intrigued by the human race. While generally frustrated by the laziness of The Gatherers, whispers suggest that a select few are rewarded for providing The Interpreters with information non-essential to The System, but helpful in the understanding of mankind.

More Gatherers!

I drew some more Gatherers chattering after their shift today AND got the chance to work with some chalk pencils! I get so excited about pencils, it's incredible. That's all I want for Christmas. I'm easily pleased. I keep telling people "It's the little things" :)  -Lucy
